While these are in many ways your typical cardboard pots, I am appreciative of the bigger size, perfect for when you have a larger plant that needs more grow time before transplant. They're sturdy and hold up well, even when I just let them be pots for the longest time, and were fairly resistant to initial watering--no collapsing or disintegrating.
I got these to plant my everbearing strawberries in before putting them out in the garden. They were quite sturdy and as someone else suggested, rolling them across a flat surface helped with separating them. When I put strawberries in the garden I took the bottom off and about an inch off the top. A couple fell off completely, but I can live with that. They worked well for what I needed and this company has wonderful customer service.
Started dozen cuke plants inside from seeds..using 'starter' pots..then transferred them to these larger ones...Very pleased..plants are now in the ground..growing larger and healthy....Nice company..owners followed up on some shipping problems..(our order was fine)..they CARE....most unusual in todays climate..perhaps they would like to run for (new) president...Cheers !
Arrived in tact. Nice size. Neither too small not too large to start my seedlings. Just right. (I sound like Goldilocks!)
Came simply packaged and in a bulk enough quantity. Pots gave been watered several times and even moved when moist and still holding up. After sale the seller reached out to verify satisfaction.
Best value among the competition for 4 inch Peat Pots. Packaging is slightly different than shown but product is exactly as described.
They are indeed not the most solid of peat pots, but I like that feature. I start a lot of my veggies from seed, and I find many pots to be too thick.I just started 30 tomatoes, and I think I'm going to buy some more pots.
My son gave me an AeroGarden for Christmas and I've just begun transplanting seedlings into your peat pots. They are doing great! Thanks for the tip to roll the column of pots for easy seperation. Have a happy and productive 2019.
There nice and light so my plants can breath and be put in the ground just the way they are.
Looking foward to planting my herbs in these little starters. I like how you can see the moisture on the side of the pots as you water. It's a good way to know you are not over-watering
I used these inside cheap plastic pots for my watermelon plants until they were ready to plant outside. I am very happy with how well they stayed together (though I did have them inside a flimsy plastic pot). I did have to tear a side when planting so water from my drip hose could flow towards the plant better. I will definitely use these for all my plants I start indoors next year!
Arrived intact, and as described by the seller. I use these to pot seedlings initially started in those small seed starter green house things. I don’t like to plant the seedlings directly into the ground because even if I try to put a barrier around them, my dog might trample all over the fragile seedlings. These peat pots are ideal because I can continue to let the seedling grow and monitor each plant’s condition and soil with a pH meter. Since these are peat, it’s super easy when it comes time to plant because I don’t have to stress the plant by transferring from pot to ground.
These were the perfect size for my hyacinth been vine seeds. They didn't dry out as quickly as the smaller size can and my plants are doing great. The price was reasonable too.
Using them as a fundraiser for a group. We put a pair of garden gloves in each with a packet of seeds. Added a small container of gummy worms for the Gardner. Confident they will sell well.
Arrived quickly, the quality is great, and it serves its purpose perfectly.
Great product, came as described. Already started using them and they are great! Can’t wait until we can just plant them in the ground. Will make gardening much easier this year.
Nice pots. Deeper than most and very good communication from seller. They were concerned about possible damage during shipment but, thankfully mine were unscathed.
Perfect for what I needed.
