This is SO fun! The scooter came partially Assembled. A few minutes to put on the front tire and handle bars and off you go! I still need to put on the front fender. The paint is nice, shiny enamel with nice decal detail. The hand grips are better than expected too. The chrome really sets it apart. Easier to learn than a bicycle. Love it!!
Most fun you can have with your clothes on, for a old 70 year old man this is a real old boy toy.l had given up on shuffle scooters a long time ago due to small wheels like my xooter has which is GUARANTEED to kill your old butt. But this thing is great, grass dirt sidewalk all is handled fine. I have a question for all the reviews concerning assembly???? Have you people lost your mind? 30 min includes taking out of box and assembly takes longer to unbox and remove wrappers than to put together. You folks are not the sharpest knives in the drawer or stuck on stupid lol please quit telling folks that this is hard to assemble. If you cant put on handlebar wheel and fender you probably cant ride it..GREAT LITTLE SHUFFLE SCOOT. Get you one and have some serious fun. I dare you to ride it and not smile so hard your face hurts. EXCELENTE PRODUCT
It's a nice kick bike. I assembled it quickly. It is a USA brand, so all tools required are in Imperial sizes, not Metric sizes. You will need hex wrenches in 1/4", 7/32" and 3/16" for proper assembly of the handlebars, and adjustments to the brakes. Other tools needed are a Phillips screwdriver and a small crescent wrench, or a set of fixed wrenches. When assembled, my bike rode well and moved smoothly. Comes with general purpose tires.
I got this as a gift for my wife and she loves it. It's also a hit in the neighborhood. My wife is tall and plump and this is very sturdy and she does not look like a giant on it.
I bought this scooter because riding my racing bike started hurting my back. I wanted something that I could ride standing up. This scooter fits the bill. Compared to the ones with small wheels, it feels like I have more directional control and balance, and don’t have to push as frequently. Using the large handlebars with the bike-size front wheel feels just like handling a regular-size bike. The brakes feel the same way, too, and they are very responsive. As any kick scooter, traveling uphill is not much fun. I actually walk when the slope is steeper than 5% or so. But on flat ground, kicking this machine along is pure delight, and feels like great exercise—better than a bike. You work harder, and you don’t move as fast, but you know that your heart and muscles are working. I just timed a trip to the pharmacy one mile away, with some serious ups and downs. The trip there took 14 minutes, the trip back took 8. My tracker watch showed average pace as 11 minutes per mile. The fastest I can walk is 15 minutes per mile on level ground. The machine is a beauty. The sturdy elegance you see in the photos is real. It is really a strikingly pleasant thing to look at. I am glad I chose the white finish. The mechanics are extremely solid, simple, the traditional nuts and bolts engineering that I remember from my bikes back in the sixties. Adsembly was unproblematic, all the holes lined up, etc. I am not associated with the vendor or manufacturer, and I was not asked to write this review.
Our 22 year old son is autistic and moderately mentally disabled. Although his balance is good, he never could quite get the hand of riding a bike--he could pedal okay but then he would panic and instead of braking, would just leap off the bike when he wanted to stop. This scooter is something he can ride safely without the anxiety he had sitting up high on a bicycle. The big, bike-sized front tire makes this scooter feel and move like a bike to him. It's best when you have long stretches of flat road or bike trails--hills inevitably involve more walking than riding. My husband did not have any trouble assembling it, and it is holding up well. (My son weighs 145 pounds.)
These Kick Bikes are so cool! They are made for the adult body. They also give you quite a workout on an incline going UP!! We got them as an alternative to the conventional bicycles as sometimes the seat on a bike can be uncomfortable. Since these have no seat, there is no discomfort for the "rear"! We recommend them!
