This is perfect for clearing up my desk space and allowing me to easily read my textbooks. I have pretty thick programming textbooks and it works just fine. It has five different adjustable angles and stoppers at the bottom to keep your page nice and snug. I really love the carving details in the bamboo. It also folds up very thin and nicely making it very portable. Definitely recommend this product, especially for students. (:
Works great! Bought it for my RN text books. At first I was worried it wouldn't hold the weight but it does! My text book is 1400 pages, and about 3 inches thick.
I have used a metal book stand for a mumber of years. Worked great buy was unattractive and heavy. I was looking for something that was appealing visually and lightweight. I found it with this product. The quality is superb. Well engineered and sturdy hardware is used. Has a nice texture amd sheen to the bamboo. Light in color and weight. Fits my small desk perfectly. Have used with hardback, paperback and Kindle. Ornamental cutouts in the frame add an appealing touch of the Orient to improve appearance and adds air flow and reduces weight. I am more than pleased with this stand and plan on giving as Christmas gifts this year. More than met my expectations.
A Christmas gift for our son that is a serious home chef. Whether using his iPad or Paul Pruhomme's cookbook or Joy of Cooking, the stand places the information at the correct angle for easy reading and protects the against spills and splatters. Even tech-savvy folks will enjoy this idea.Highly recommend.
Another 5 star review for this product. The cut out portions are smoothely etched out, ie. no little bits of bamboo sticking out. I like that the page holders have little rubber tips to keep the paper snugly in place. I am pleased to witness that this product holds up a flimsy magazine just fine. It will get a lot if use.
Reviewing various IPAD holders I decided I wanted something more durable. Be sure to flip the front lip down (it is hinged). I have used this with the IPAD in the horizontal and vertical positions. In the vertical position the IPAD sticks somewhat above the top edge of the stand (as you would expect from the measurements). This appears to be a durable stand. You can tilt the stand to get the angle you desire. This is designed to be placed on a flat surface not your lap. This stand works exactly as I desired.
Gorgeous and sturdy. Make sure you note dimensions, since it is smaller than I expected (because I didn't look at the well-posted size to notice it is 8 x 11). This will work wonderfully for my standard sized books, and I hope it will also work for my huge oversized binder (which is why I bought it). This is a great product, just warning others to read the clear description to decide if it is going to work for you.
