I was a little hesitant to purchase this crockpot after seeing a few bad reviews.I've used it more than a handful of times already, and haven't had any issues. This was my first crockpot purchase, and a friend recommended this one to me who has had it for a while as well with no issues. I had never really used a crockpot before and it was super easy to set up and use. I've used it both on high and low, and both options work perfectly depending on how long you want something to cook. Everything arrived in pristine shape. The lid has not shattered nor is it flimsy.. although I don't use, nor do I see myself needing to use the lock feature). Lesson learned; don't focus on the smaller amount of bad reviews before making a purchase.

WHY WOULD NO ONE TELL ME THE MAGIC OF SLOW COOKERS RIGHT WHEN THEY BECAME A THING!? Seriously this thing is a busy person's savior or in my case, a lazy person's dream! This one is plenty large enough and incredibly easy to use. I mean really look at the buttons on this thing, if you can't figure that out, you have other things to sort out rather than look at slow cookers. Reviews say this one runs a bit hotter than most, but I've followed a handful of recipes and their cook times seem to be accurate. I really love that this model will automatically switch to keep warm after the timer you set expires. That last part is crucial for me because I work 10+ hour shifts and most recipes even on low are about 8 hours. That keep warm feature makes sure my food isn't burnt, but still warm when I get home.

This is my 3rd of this type. The first was programable, but didn't have a locking lid. Used that for several years until I took it to a neighbors party and some drunk guest dropped and broke the lid.The neighbor then bought me one like this with a locking lid, but without the programmable part. Works fine, but now, with this one, i have the best of both worlds. I absolutely LOVE how the locking lid keeps liquids from spilling out around my counter in the middle of the night (or day)as I'm slow cooking some pork shoulder, chicken, stew, etc. Also, how easy it is to just put it on low for several hours and then, when it's done it doesn't just turn off, rendering my meal cold, but goes into "warm" mode. Really, REALLY love this. I have about 7 or 8 different crockpots on my pantry shelf, and this is not only the best, but I'm thinking I'll be getting rid of all the others at the next garage sale. Since, obviously, I don't use them anymore.
