I recently came home from the supermarket and threw away six of those flimsy plastic produce bags, something I had done week in and week out for years, even as I watched alarming news about micro plastics in the Arctic and plastic “continents” of trash in the ocean the size of Texas. I took the plunge and ordered these sturdy, reusable, washable produce bags. I can’t recommend them enough. It is one small step for me and every step matters to the future of the only planet each of us calls home. Won’t you join me with this one small step?

I have become more aware of the detrimental impact we are having on the planet and I'm trying to do what I can to lessen my imprint. These bags are well made and should last for a long time if cared for properly. I try to remember to stick them back in my shopping bag once I've emptied them so they are there to reuse the next time I go shopping.I put them in a lingerie bag and throw them in the washing machine to clean them and then air dry. They wash beautifully and dry quickly.

I use these bags on all of my shopping trips. I refuse to use plastic bags due to the impact they are having on the environment. Flip and tumble bags have been the perfect solution. Everyone needs to understand how it important it is NOT to use plastic. It is even being banned in certain cities (i.e. New York). PLEASE consider using bags like these for produce rather than the bags they provide at grocery stores. It doesn't take any extra time, just a small change to make a big difference. GREAT PRODUCT.

I got these produce bags to try to cut back on plastic use at the grocery store. They can be folded easily and kept in a cloth shopping bag so you don't forget them. The mesh holes are small so these could even be used for some bulk items such as granola or rice. The items inside are still visible so the cashier can tell what's inside. I'm glad that they can be washed... I haven't washed them yet but would probably wash them on cold so they don't shrink.

I love these!!! I hate that I forget them often when I go to the store. I get compliments and questions whenever I go somewhere with them. And yeah they have the free plastic ones at the store, but I hate using those all the time and feeling wasteful (however I did learn they are recyclable which is nice) These are easy to toss into the washer at the end of the week and they can hold quite a bit of bigger items (like a stalk of celery or that awkwardly large bundle of kale, even bulk items like nuts) And my fruits and veggies dont get all gross like they do in a plastic bag if I toss items in the fridge while still in the bags, probably because these breathe a little bit. So that's also a huge bonus. I just wish I could remember to bring these with me!

We liked these so much we just bought another set so now we both have them in our car. I hate using/wasting those plastic bags just to hold bananas or cucumbers for a few minutes, but I also hate having a cart of produce rolling around...so these are a great alternative. Good quality, too. They've held up over time and wash really well. Get 'em!

I've been using these for a few months now, and am impressed with their durability. I've been really working on reducing the amount of waste I produce with my lifestyle, and this has helped a lot. Much less plastic being used unnecessarily! Canvas bags are step 1, these are step 2 to green-ifying your grocery routine. The bags are see-through enough that grocery store checkers can tell what's in them, which is also great. The size is good too, just slightly smaller than the typical plastic produce bag.

These bags are a godsend. Wonderful to be able to stop contributing all that plastic waste, easier to get my produce in and out of, and things don't get slimy like they do in plastic. Also, cashiers have told me they like this brand over others as it's easier to see what's in the bag when ringing up.They are super easy to wash- just throw them in with your regular laundry! I recommend air drying to extend their life.

As an environmentalist, I have been looking for reusable produce bags for ages. These are perfect for so much more than just produce. I'm a big fan of buying bulk grains and beans from Fresh Thyme market but hate the inefficiency and environmental damage that the provided plastic bags cause. These bags have a fine mesh that is suitable for putting bulk quinoa and lentils in as well as enough ventilation for fresh produce. I have had some issues at the checkout with the cashier struggling to get product numbers, but I'll take that over the bigger issues that those thin plastic bags cause.

These are the best value for reusable produce bags, we've bought two sets so far. They work great for produce and bulk items, especially with the different color labels. I can keep track of the bulk numbers with the corresponding color on my phone, making life way easier. We use it on road trips for snacks, I've even used it to have a local restaurant put my wrap in. They are also perfect for nut bags (cue my husband laughing) I use them to filter out the almond meal when I make homemade almond milk. Washes great too, I don't think it's recommended to dry it, but we always have with no complaints. My only complaint is that they're a little hard to see through to scan when I use it for meat, but that's the only thing

I purchased these in January, in anticipation of our CSA farm share. Our farm share just ended (November), and I can tell you these have lasted, and lasted well! We picked up veggies every weekend since April, and these bags were washed at least every week (or every other week). NONE have fallen apart -- they are still in great shape! they do expand a little, so they will hold more than you think they will, but will do so without crushing the produce (big heads of soft-leaf lettuce; bunches of herbs, etc). We also used them for heavy items (sweet potatoes, carrots), and they didn't break/stretch/rip. Overall, I am impressed -- they wash up well, and last well. And no plastic bags!!

Glad I got these, I was super sick of using disposable produce bags. It just didn't make any sense that I was using reusable grocery bags but using disposable produce bags. These bags are big - they can definitely hold a head of romaine lettuce. Good quality, appears very strong. I like that they cinch close with a drawstring. Love that they're machine washable.I also got the Bagibobs produce bags to compare. The Flip & Tumble produce bags are a bit smaller than the Bagibobs (maybe 1-1.5 inches smaller) but the Flip & Tumble produce bags can still hold a lot. The Flip & Tumble produce bags are softer than the Bagibobs. I use both without a preference - both are great bags, it's fine to go with either brand.

These bags are pretty brilliant. I take them in my canvas tote to the store and use them for my produce. They are very durable I use them for oranges, potatoes, onions, brocoli, onions, bananas, romaine lettuce, and more. When I get home I empty the produce out, store it properly, fold the bags up and put them back in the tote(unless they need to be washed). For the people complaining about the weight of these bags I would suggest going to the customer service counter at your grocery store to have the bage tared. A lot of places will weigh the bags empty, give you a slip with the weight, and then reduce the weight of the bag when you checkout. I have never done this as I have never had an issue just weighing the produce with out the bag, printing the sticker, placing weighed produce in the bag, and then sticking the sticker (folded in half) on the drawstring. If I need to wash a bag I just stick it in my mesh delicates bag and run it through the wash with my clothes. :) I always get compliments on these bags and the checkout people usually ask why their store doesn't sell them because it seems like such a smart idea.
