I have used a dozen or so travel bottles over the years, retiring each of them in turn for failures of either the cap hinge or their ability to withstand multiple decompressions and compressions in airplane flights. (I'm a top tier flier with my airline 15 years running, not by accumulated miles, but by flight legs flown each year. This means over 120 flights, 120 decompressions and compressions. Not only do I give these containers an Unqualified 5 Stars, I believe those who report them leaking have evidently failed to carefully read the instructions for use. They are designed to take quite a bit of torque on the main cap (fill cap) and if one doesn't really tighten them, I suppose they could leak. Once this is realized and put into practice, these containers are perfect. None of mine have leaked and I've had 4 of them in use for about 100 flights so far with zero issues.
I use these bottles 10-20 times a year for short and long trips and have had the same bottles since 2015. Since my original purchase, I bought more to bring along for longer trips.Pros:- I have never experienced a leak problem during any mode of travel (used for shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash). After filling I tap the bottle on the counter to get rid of any larger air bubbles.- One bottle for shampoo/conditioner lasts me about 1 1/2 weeks - 2 weeks with every day use.- Interchangeable plastic labels around the collar of the bottle make it easy to identify which bottle is which.- Easy to clean by hand.Cons:- the plastic lids will sometimes break if you drop the bottle depending on the severity of the drop. I have broken lids by dropping bottles in the shower. It’s annoying when it happens and it would be great if they made stronger plastic lids. That being said, I have only broken a couple lids over the years and I’ve taken these in the field with me on several deployments.I recommend these to my fellow frequent travelers that like to bring their own brand of shampoo, conditioner, etc. and not constantly spend money on the travel size bottles. These bottles have served me well over the years.
Best gym bag accessory ever! I use really tick conditioner and creme soap, plastic bottles are always causing me to shake the heck out of them to get the thick formulas to move, with these gotoobs I have no problem! To fill them I simply "deflate" the gotoob, put it's opening tight against the opening of my conditioner, invert the conditioner and let gravity and suction fill the gotoob.
I was skeptical at first, but these are really great. The liquid soap i have leaks slightly, so I just keep it in a plastic bag. The thicker stuff like conditioner works great. If you're flying, only fill 80-90% for pressure changes
Had bought a set of these a year ago and have traveled extensively with them. They've held up really well through all the miles. Easy to fill, easy to use and durable. They worked so well, on an extended camping trip, my husband wanted a set for himself. The soft silicon body makes it easy to squeeze the product out, even for hands that suffer from arthritis. I've carried these bottles in the bottom of a tote bag for shorter trips, through TSA (gotta love that 3-1-1 rule) onto air planes, no problems with leaking or accidentally coming open. I also like that there are no sharp corners to tear the zip loc bag some of us use for liquids when flying. The ring on the cap is labeled "Shampoo", "Lotion" and a blank space so you can turn it to the product that is inside. The labeling is not really usable since it's white (blends in with the rest of the cap) and quite small to read. This is the only Con I would give this product. It's not a really big issue for me, I just use different colored bottles for each liquid. Overall, a really great product that I will recommend for any traveler.
Like others this one doesn't break or leak -- that's kind of the expected least common denominator. But GoToob's 'indicators' dont spin on their own while they are in your bag traveling or when you unscrew the top. Was that soap, shampoo, sun screen? Next thing you know your at the beach with shampoo slathered on your face. Not with this brand. The way the indicators stay in place alone is worth the extra money. One improvement I would suggest is that they outline the text indicators in black or some other color to distinguish it from the white background. Its very hard to tell unless you put it right up to your face.
The GoToob is awesome! Before I bought these I was always running out last minute before a trip to buy those silly little travel bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc. I have used these for shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap and lotion. I have never encountered any problems with them and no leaks. I purchased these in October 2015 and have gotten several uses out of them so far and I have not been disappointed.A couple unique features really set these apart from other travel bottles:1. The no-drip valve on the cap. The liquid does not come out of the tube unless you apply pressure to the silicone bottle. This makes me happy because it prevents leaks and the cap is clean! There is no buildup from shampoo on the cap like you find in most bottles. This also makes it super easy to clean when you get home.2. The cap has a dial that you can change to identify what's in the bottle (lotion, soap, shampoo, etc). I have different colors, so I usually just know what color holds what, but this is a convenient feature.3. The design and material. The silicone just feels cool! But really, this product is designed with the consumer in mind. It's easy to fill - wide opening screw cap, it's easy to clean - everything pops off and easily pops back together, it doesn't leak!If you are going to invest in a travel bottle - these are the ones to buy!
I've traveled a lot on commercial aircraft and on a much-loved Cessna Cardinal to Oshkosh several times. Plastic tubes of goop always leak because of pressure variations or because they were squished to death. These are absolutely leak proof when you make sure the silicon is at the top when you screw on the lid. Plus, because they are silicon and pretty wide of aperture, they do not retain odors and are exceptionally easy to clean. 2 oz of shampoo and lotion equals about 2 weeks of supply. The SO decided to clean his tubes out and pack liquor for the 8 hour airplane ride. Liquor did not taste of shampoo! In error, I purchased 2 sets. Now, I'm glad I did!
Love these for more than just shampoo! I have now purchased my third set and tell all my friends, family and clients to get these. I use them for travel portions of shampoos and the such but where I find them particularly helpful is packing my lunch-I use for salad dressing, cream for my coffee, and other condiments. No leakage, no extra air gets in to prematurely spoil the product, I can add as little or as much as I want (easy to squeeze a drop or squeeze harder to empty the contents). I also find them easy to clean. I add a drop of soap and warm water, put top back on and shake, then rinse and then put in dishwasher on one of the spokes of top rack and twist off the top and put in with the silverware. They come out still a little wet and then I air dry them.
I love these. I have bought several over the last couple of years. I travel for work and have used a lot of different kinds of tubes. Nothing has come close as to performing as well as these do. The great thing is that they are food safe too. Kind of nice to be able to take my raw honey on the road with me.Word of caution: They don't do well with castile soap. I use Dr Bronner's tea tree soap on my face, and find it leaks. I spent a year with that issue, where I'd have to triple wrap it to keep it from leaking all over everything. Until I saw an online tip: I take some cling wrap and place it on the tube before I put the cap on (see pictures). No issues after that!!!!! So if you find your particular product leaks, give that tip a try!I will mention, that sometimes (rarely), I get a lid that breaks on me. Out of maybe twenty of these tubes, that's happened like maybe three times to me. I never contacted the company about it, although I guess I could. Don't let a broken one detour you, they are great little tubes! I just figured it was from all the use I put them through, being on the road like I am I use them every day.
I love these little bottles. They are great for a couple reasons. First, I buy the big bottles of Aveda shampoo and conditioner which are heavy and take up too much room on the little shelf built into my shower and the hard plastic is hard to get all the liquid out. So, I just keep filling these up. Easy to squeeze and don't take up too much room. Secondly, they are perfect to have in my shower for when I am at home and then if I run to the gym they fit perfectly in my to-go bag without adding a lot of weight. And finally, they have a little dial you can turn to identify if the contents are shampoo, conditioner, soap. Seems like a simple thing, but when you are in a rush to get ready it is something that becomes very appreciated.
These are great little bottles to hold whatever liquids, gels or lotions you would need them for. They are very easy to fill and clean. They are also food safe, making them handy for carrying your own condiments. ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, etc. I use one of these to carry moisturizer (especially, this time of year when the skin is more prone to dryness). The bulb is made of a silicone that is similar to surgical tubing. It is very resilient and should resist cracking or splitting in extremely cold or hot temperatures. The cap is made of an excellent grade of plastic with a no-mess dispensing spout (same as the kind used in no-mess ketchup bottles) These are a little pricey, but are worth the money.
These GoToob travel bottles are a great way to keep your liquids organized. Since these are 3 oz bottles and TSA approved, you can get your shampoo, body wash, sunblock, lotion, or any other common liquid in your carry on!I am currently using these mostly for my toiletry kit in my gym bag. I bring that same kit when traveling or camping. I bought the three pack. I now have my Pert Plus shampoo/conditioner, body wash, and chlorine removal shampoo all securely stored in each tube. As it happens, all three of those liquids match the colors of the tubes I used. I bought the kit with the green, clear, and blue bottles. I might buy the other colored set in the future so I can also bring sunblock and other lotions with me on trips. They have also gone the extra step of including a little ring around the base of the cap that can be rotated to reveal the name of the contents. There are a few options, plus a blank area to write the contents with a Sharpie. If multiple liquids are the same color and clarity, this might be very helpful.Just unscrew the main cap (which has a nifty pressure closure for squirting contents out), and the opening is wide enough to pour in just about anything without spilling it. No funnels needed! Replace the cap, flip the lid, and squirt! The tube material itself is flexible but seems very durable. I actually dropped one and began stepping on it. It did not rupture.
I really like these. I've purchased at 8 of them over time because our family was fighting over who got them. We use them whenever we travel. The bottles are flexible and strong so they can expand with altitude changes with little likelihood of blowing up. Even when one fell in the shower and the top lid cracked, the company contacted me to let me know there was a lifetime warranty on their products and they'd take care of it. True to their word, they sent me a whole new replacement bottle with a nice hand written note. I don't write reviews too often because I'm so busy, but Humangear deserves an "atta boy" - I love companies that understand taking care of what the customer needs by design and customer service is the best way to ensure product sales.
Love these! They are easy to fill, seal well and hold more than enough product for a two week trip. The color selection makes it easy to differentiate between them. I use the 3oz bottles for things like face wash that I need at least twice per day, and the smaller versions (2oz and 1.25 oz) for things like moisturizer, hair gel, etc. They are pricey to purchase but ultimately cheaper than buying travel size versions of your favorite product (if they are even available), easy to clean out and switch products if necessary, and you don't have to remember to put your favorite products in at the last minute because you now have travel versions of them and can leave your full size versions at home. I keep them filled and in my travel toiletry kit so that packing is simple. My husband travels every week for his job and swears by these as well.
I've tried many different size, shape, and material travel bottles and these are by far the best!!!The clean nozzle feature works perfectly, keeping your product in the bottle or in your hand, never on the outside of the bottle or cap! Refilling them is easy with the wide openings, and cleaning is quick as the stiff cap system comes off the squishy bottle completely. They have a unique little built in label system in the neck of the lid where you can spin it and lock the opening in place to display one of the numerous printed contents through a slot in the ring (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc). A bit hard to read unless you look closely, but if you haven't used the bottle for some time and can't remember, is a nice little feature. While these are bigger and heavier than "normal" 3 oz travel bottles, but the extra thickness and piece of mind than they won't pop, puncture or pressurize and explode in my luggage is worth the tradeoff. If you squeeze them in, you can fit four of the 3oz bottles into a Ziploc quart freezer bag and breeze through airport screening. These are pricey but worth every penny! Try them and I doubt you'll ever want another brand.
