This is absolutely my favorite little tea set! It is perfect for my sweet little toddler who loves to make tea for everyone! I love that everything is made of recycled materials, its great quality, and its cute too! I LOVE Green Toys and this tea set is no exception. If you are looking for a high quality, adorable tea set for your little one, I highly recommend. I love watching my sweet little one play tea party with this special tea-set. (December 2017: UPDATE: STILL A FAVORITE. We have bought this Green Toys Tea Set for several other children we love it so much!) Was this review helpful?

My daughter is tea party obsessed. Leading up to her 2nd birthday, I believe we had purchased and given up on 3-4 play tea sets before we tried this one. They ended up being cheap, leaked, cracked, weren't intended for actual use, and didn't hold up after being washed. This tea set is wonderful. It is sturdy while still being small and easy to handle. It is safe to eat and drink from, washes easily, and 6 months of regular play later, has not scratched and scuffed as many plastic toys do.Green toys are a long Standing favorite of ours for these reasons. This tea set was everything we needed while continuing to hold up to toddler playtime and expectations.

I wasn't expecting much given the quality of most toys I have experienced over the years. The first thing I noticed was the nice quality box the set came in. Next, it was very easy to open. Lift a tab, lift the top, and pull out spacer. No Disney Chinese wire ties or plastic ties that require wire cutters and patience to remove. I child could actually open this set without tools. A rubber band held the 4 spoons together. The build quality and design are impressive. I know working with recycled plastic is difficult, but they seem to have mastered this process. All the parts are sturdy and resilient. No obvious signs of weak mold joints. Color is very consistent. The teapot holds water and pours without leaking. The lid stays put (you are supposed to hold down the lid on a teapot when pouring). It it not like the set in the first picture. The second picture is accurate. The teapot, cups, saucers, cream cup, spoons, and sugar bowl appear to be able to withstand child play for many years. The sugar bowl has holes in the bottom so it can open easier as the lid is tight.I very much appreciate the dishwasher safe. I am pleased with the set and find the price very fair for the quality.

We have had this set going on 2 years. My girls are now 3 and 5 and we have used it for actual tea more times than can be counted. It still looks brand new. There isn't a mark anywhere on any of it that would show how old it is. We have the teapot with the wide lid and the spout coming from the base. Green toys should update their picture as I believe the picture shown is an older model. The lid on ours stays put, absolutely never falls off while pouring. If it is empty you can turn it upside down and the lid will stay attached. It doesn't leak. The cups are a very nice size for little girls to lay with and drink from. A lot of tea sets have cups so tiny it's ridiculous. These cups are the perfect size in my opinion. Big enough to be able to actually add cream and sugar to your tea, but not so big as to take away the joy little girls will have in refilling their cup a couple times per pot. The cups sit on the plates perfectly. The little spoons are darling. If there is ANYTHING I would change about this set, it would be to remove the little holes in the bottom of the sugar bowl. I have no idea why they put those there. It makes no sense at all. However I stuck a piece of packing tape on the bottom 2 years ago and I haven't had to replace it yet. So it really isn't an issue. We fill the bowl with sugar, we fill the creamer with cream or milk, and we put a tea bag and hot water in the teapot, get out some little cookies, and have a nice time. If I lost this set I would immediately buy another one. I wouldn't even look at anything else.
