Along with the Jackery 500, this has helped us jumpstart our van twice now when the battery in the van’s engine died.

I use my Jackery Explorer 1000 for camping and the 12V PowerCable is a handle accessory for charging my truck's battery in the event of an unintended discharge. I tried using it to charge a 12 car battery and it worked fine.

Theses are more like charging cables and not for jump starting a car. For batteries with amp hours 40-60 you charge for 15-20 minutes and if your amp hours are more then charge it for 30-40minutes. Just hook up your black to negative post and orange to the positive post and then into your Jackery (240,500 or 1000) and turn on. Once charged turn off unplug and your done.

Certainly this is not a cheap option, but it's made very well. You can tell right away. The clips are large and solidly built. Both sides are connected to ensure that either side in contact should work. In addition, the line lengths of the clips are not the same, avoiding an accidental surge. A very well thought out product and you can buy it with confidence.

Was so happy to see this, makes my 500 even more useful. Now I can jump my own jeep if I am alone on the road.
