Thank you! your review was submitted
I read all the reviews before deciding to purchase. Not sure if the majority of the other buyers are incompetent or just whiny, but I found the luffa to be exactly as described by the seller. They came in brown paper packaging (recyclable!) and had an attached card with details about the luffas. As the instructions directed, I soaked one of the luffas in water for 10 minutes, I believe it became full size before 10 minutes. There were a few seeds, however, I'm not sure I would be able to grow any plant from them in Michigan's climate. I let the luffa dry overnight and used it in the shower in the morning. In the shower, I ran it under the warm water and it softened immediately. It is extremely malleable and soft. I was expecting rough exfoliation, but instead it was quite pleasurable. It doesn't sud up your soap as much as a manufactured loofa does, but I didn't mind.I'm glad I took all the other reviews with a grain of salt and bought these anyway.

From the packaging (pic 1) to opening it to see the product as described (pic 2) it was fun watching it expand after a 10-minute soak (pic 3) After it had soaked and expanded ready for use in the shower (pic 4). These are picked younger so the smaller size is much more comfortable to use on your skin but yet still exfoliate wonderfully! Thank you for an honest product and the eco-friendly packaging. You have a great product!

I have been searching for ways to integrate more sustainable solutions into my life. When I heard about these, I was intrigued. Having a solution to plastic shower poufs sounded great, but I was even more excited about the possibility of using these to replace sponges in my sink and using one whole loofah for so many other things. When I did finally get this order, I was very happy. Just to be clear, it sat in my wish list for a while, it did arrive on time from a shipping perspective. I was promised three whole loofahs and was very happy to find FIVE in my order. These are flat when you receive them, and does make it much easier to cut them. As soon as you get them wet, they fluff out to their natural form.Overall, I was very impressed and will order more of these from this vendor when the ones I have need to be replaced. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

love these! mine came with 5 instead of 3 which i was really shocked to see. from other reviews it looks like they tend to give one or two extra on occasion which is nothing to complain about, lol. i personally recommend giving these a good soak and wash to get some of the starch and seeds out, took me maybe 5 minutes including the time it took to fill up the sink, let them soak up some water (i helped fluff them up by sort of ‘working them,’ which also helped get some of the starch out), and washing each of them individually. i didnt mind this at all, afterall whats 5 minutes of preparation for a much more eco friendly product! maybe its cos i used warm water (ive never used loofahs before) but they get SUPER soft in the water but still maintain a gentle but effective scrub. i was definitely expecting a much tougher product, but so long as it works who cares, lol. im very happy with my purchase. you can also cut them up so you can just use the small pieces (cos you really dont need a WHOLE loofah for washing the dishes or in the shower) so itll last you much longer. especially in my case with having 5 loofahs (????????????), this makes the price WELL worth it, as you really have 6 or so sponges per loofah. i also love its natural smell! it smells like pumpkin seeds to me which i really like, but its subtle enough that anyone who isnt very keep on powerful fragrances wouldnt be too bothered

I don't think I'd used a loofah sponge since my mom would occassionally by them when I was growing up. I saw these online and thought I'd try them out. I was shocked when I initially got them at how flatpacked they were. You can see from my pictures, they are shipped flat and than moisture plumped them right back up. As you can see, my 3-pack actually came with four loofah.I read an article that talked about how environmentally friendly loofah are. It also mentioned that the can harbor bacteria. I'd recommend cutting off what you need when you need it, so that you can throw them out regularly. If you were looking for a nice handheld loofah that you could use in the shower or bath, or for a sponge sized loofah that you could use for scrubbing dishes. Each of the loofah in the pack could easily produce five or six of the handheld sponges (like you see in my hand) . So, in my case, I could probably cut 20 to 24 sponges easily. Even if I threw them out every three to four weeks, that's almost 2 years of sponges with minimal environmental impact. They felt good in my hand and had enough coarseness to scrub well while still being safe on non stick surfaces. I've read mixed reviews on mildew and bacteria. Be sure to hang them to air dry after use. Personally, I plan on throwing my slices out every month, but good care will likely make them stay mildew free for longer.

These are great. I received 4 loofahs. We each use one in the shower to leave us smooth and clean. I use half of one in the kitchen for the dishes (instead of Scrub Daddy). A much better cleaner than the old plastic loofah thingy's we'd been using and an earth-friendly option. Some of them have seeds inside that worked themselves out after a few uses - best to check first as it was a bit jarring when one fell out in the shower until I realized what it was :)I like that once they've work out I'll be able to put them in my compost bin and eventually reuse them in the garden.

I took the advice of other reviews and cut the sponges in half. I use them on dishes and as an exfoliating bath sponge. They worked better than I thought they would on dishes and is great in the bath too, although it’s a little rough for my skin. Regardless, highly recommend them, they’ll be all I use going forward.

I wanted to stop using plastic sponges when washing dishes, and decided to try this. It works so well, scrubs pots and pans easily and never gets that bad smell. I love that it is completely biodegradable! I cut one into three pieces and have been using that one for months. It holds up well.

This feels like it actually cleans the body. I see it scrub off the grime off my body. A great body scrub/loofah that is zero-waste, environmentally friendly, and leaves you feeling squeeky clean.

Exactly what I expect. How much more I use in a shower more soft. Great!

I really liked the eco-friendly packaging. They fluff right up when wet. We have been using them as a skin exfoliater and dish sponge. They are gentle, effective and versatile. I'll definitely buy again, but not soon because these 3 will last a while!

These Loofah's are much like the loofah's that I grew.......they are plump when soaked and work well on your skin ....I purchased two packs and will certainly purchase more....

You definitely feel happy to get an all natural product-- the brown paper and brown twine eco wrapping is sooo much better than plastic over-packaged stuff you usually find in the beauty dept. The package was smaller than it looks in the photos-- would help to have a hand for scale. They feel soft, can be cut easily, and add a sense of luxury to my home spa bath.
