These pumpkin seeds are delicious. They are quite large and meaty. This is the 2nd order of pumpkin seeds with this company. I ate the pumpkin seeds raw with the first order. When the 2nd order arrived, I decided to roast and salt the pumpkin seeds. That was a big mistake probably because I had never roasted them before. They didn't taste terrible but they didn't taste great either. I think I let them cook too long. I got my order very quickly and I'm quite pleased with the company.
Read the reviews and I love pumpkin seeds. I soaked these overnight...1 cup seeds, lots of garlic, Mrs. Dash's original and a tablespoon of sea salt. Dumped the water off in the morning (don't rinse) and I put them in a Ninja Foodi on 350 (bake/roast) with less than an ounce of olive oil and stirred them until lightly browned. You can eat the entire shell with the seeds. I waited until they were cooled to eat....Perfect...lots of fiber.
I ordered these for my Congo African Gray parrot as pumpkin seeds are her favorite treat, and this time I ordered from this company and saved a substantial amount of money over the the place from which I normally order. They kept increasing their prices so I found another place to buy them and my bird loves them. Everybody wins.
I re-hydrate them in some garlic water overnight, let sit out and air dry for 6-8 hours or so. Give them a light coating of olive oil and a sprinkle of kosher salt. Bake them in my toaster oven till golden brown and poof! I have seeds tasting like they did when I was a kid! Only, I don't have to buy all those pumpkins :-)
These are just great seeds. An overnight soak in 1/2 up of salt dissolved in two cups of water, roast at 350 for 40 minutes and your good to go.
I have had to become a pumpkin seed professional. I have a blue and gold macaw that is crazy for pumpkin seeds. I have looked at and have tried many different brands; these are the best. Largest, most fresh and quite economical. They are so good i eat them too!
These are huge and fat! Absolutely amazing. I will never buy from another company. I have bought so many raw pumpkin seeds before and they don’t come close to these. I need this company on speed dial.
