I have the Worse grass anyone could EVER have, IT is A Mix of like 4 types of grass, from low to high and uneven soil to dips in the yard and that did not stop this mower !!! If you keep it low you wont have a problem with this one.. Way better cut then my old gas mower and you can mow anytime of the day without waking people up. ( Wet Grass it does Very Good! ) This is not for people that WILL let there grass grow tall. Anything higher then 2 1/2 inches will have problem with it at the first run I say you can do it take will longer. I am Very Happy with this one. And My dog does not Attack the mower,, :)
Simple to use, adjustable height. I liked it so much I’ve mowed my lawn 3 times in a week and half. I’m in Miami and with this rain the grass grows fast!! This machine is way better than I expected. I’d recommend it to anyone.
Shipped fast and packaged in water resistant box. Easy assembly, just put handle together and attach to blade reel. Getting the blade to cut a piece of paper is challenging but doable. My small yard gets cut in about 30 mins. It even did the first grass cutting of the year, which for here grass gets very long and thick in spots.
This mower clips and trims the lawn...doesn't give it a chopped look like most power mowers. The seven blades does the job !!
We have been traveling full time in our RV. At one park, a neighbor had a push mower that she kept the grass around her RV maintained with. My husband had been wanting a push mower for quite some time, so we ordered this one. He put it together and took it for a spin today. He loves it. Our yard area is pretty uneven and the grass is very thick with a lot of weeds mixed in. This mower went right over everything and cut it all perfectly. It is extremely easy to push and maneuver. I tried it myself and can say just about anyone could operate it successfully without much effort. Thumbs up!
Works perfectly, quiter than my gas powered mower, easy to assemble, and the cut was awesome. This is what you need to cut Bermuda grass the way it was designed to be cut! My neighbors are jealous and way too lazy to get one which is why my lawn will aways look the best in my subdivision!Fyi....take the time to pick up any tree branches, sticks, rocks, debris, etc...from your yard before you use the reel mower and you won't impale yourself or damage your reel mower blades.
I previously used a Fiskars Stay Sharp. I bought this because it has 7 blades instead of 5, and because it mows at lower heights for my hybrid bermuda yard. And I wish I had bought it a long time ago. It’s way, way easier to mow with, compared to the Fiskars. I had been mowing at 2” with the Fiskars because it just wasn’t feasible to go to 1.5” — meaning hours of hard labor. I can now mow at 1.5” with no additional effort. And the grass is very evenly cut, no scalp marks, very smooth. It is much lighter weight than the Fiskars, so I do wonder whether it will hold up. The other two drawbacks are that it’s a narrow cut. You have to overlap to account for the wheels, whereas the Fiskars cuts the full width. It’s also not very maneuverable, although it’s so light weight that I can just pick it up to turn it around. But overall, I love it.
Works great for the small yard we have, low maintenance, and no gas to buy or mechanical parts to fix. LOVE IT!
I bought this for my 70+ year old mother and she loves it. She’s very active and still insists on mowing her lawn. Luckily, the yard isn’t too large. She has St. Augustine grass and says that this works well. She has 2 gas powered lawn mowers, but has difficulty getting them started, so I was actually looking for a push button starter when I saw this. It was fairly easy to assemble and she likes that she doesn’t need anyone to help her get it going.
This product is sturdy and well-built and will last me for years. Putting the handle on the mower was a little tough though. The instructions were unclear but easy enough to figure out. I had to use a screwdriver as a wedge to get the handle onto the mower. Everything else is pretty much put together for you , You just have to put the handle and the grass catcher onto the mower. The company needs to make a YouTube on how to put this together, rather than trying to guess where this fits or that fits.
We got ours just before the mowing season. We absolutely love ours. It's easier to push then out push mower was. Our Bermuda grass is looking the best then it has in the 3 years we've moved into our new house. We also enjoy that we can mow in the early morning or late evening and not disturb neighbors, due to the quiet sound it makes.
I have a fairly large yard that I have someone else cut, but I wanted this to cut the area around my basement windows. With this mower I can gently cut that area without it throwing grass, and slinging debris towards the plastic roof things over my basement windows, and knocking holes in them as had sometimes happened in the past. I just wanted to gently mow that area without it throwing things everywhere, and this mower works perfectly for that.
I decided to go with a reel mower for a few reasons. My yard is the right size for it. The grass is right for it (bermuda). I can mow it enough times per week to keep the grass low, and there aren't many bumps, sticks, or other obstructions.Having said all of that, this reel mower exceeded my expectations and makes for a really nice cut. Nothing fancy or special, just a really solid mower.
Im NOT an environMENTAList, but i sure do like the simplicity of no gas, oil, or motor. No noise is really nice too. Great quality for a simple machine, really nice to find.
