We researched extensively before deciding on this dehydrator or no regrets.PROS: It's a workhorse and handles beef jerky as well as peaches, apples, bananas, nectarines, tomatoes, onions, and zucchini (what we've tried in last week); super easy to clean; runs quietly; light and easy to lift so it can be moved around the kitchen; the mats provided for use with drippier foods (such as making beef jerky) are so easy to clean!!!!CONS: No directions arrived in the box except for the small, simple pamphlet that described the type of food to dehydrate and temperature to use; the control buttons take a bit getting used to, but they're easy to understand after a few uses.We would definitely purchase this unit again. It's efficient, runs quietly and my favorite part (EASY to clean).

I love my 7 metal tray dhydrator. Comes with 2 fruit roll up tray sheets and two plastic fruit sheets. I have used it to make lots of crisp apple chips (26-30 hours at 145 degrees) that made approximately 2 quart bags, 5 baskets of strawberries (6-8 hours at 145 degrees), 2 pineapples (18-24 hours at 145 degrees), 5 kiwis (6-8 hits at 145 degrees) frozen peas (5-8 hours at 135 degrees), frozen corn (5-6 hours at 135 degrees), frozen broccoli (4-6 hours at 135 degrees). I have had it four 2.5 weeks and use it about 3-4 days a week. Ran it off quart size Mason jars, now I need to buy more and some mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. My only issue after looking st sho many and reading reviews on this is that some people were saying that it was a metal casing, but mine is a hard plastic, but no real big deal, was just expecting a metal case. Make sure you order some additional fruit mats to put on the metal tray sheets.

This is probably the best quality for a smaller dehydrator that I’ve ever seen! Stainless racks, fruit leather trays, AND the plastic mesh for smaller items! Have only used a few times. This is a huge step up from the other brands I’ve been shopping through. Has a front door so you don’t have to dirty all the racks if you’re only using one or two racks. Very professional looking and very quiet too! Will reccommend this brand to anyone I know.

I did a lot of research before I purchased this item and was leaning to purchasing an Excalibur, however I decided to try the Magic Mill 7 Tray with the door. I have to say I’m so glad I did. The heat distribution is wonderful and it makes the best jerky! I use it one time every week and it has always produced the same consistent drying pattern. I would recommend this item!

This dehydrator works great! I’ve used it several times a week for the past month and I’ve made dried apples, strawberries, pine apple, mango, sweet potato and kiwi and blueberries. It has a huge capacity. I cut up 5 large apples and they only filled 3 trays. The timer and temp controls are a nice feature and it is super easy to set up and use. Also it is light weight and easy to move from my kitchen counter to another room for storage.

My Wife and i love this machine. my wife uses it for dry fruit. Mango and Pineapples. my god the taste and flavor,,, take a 4 inch piece of pin apple down to a 2 inch piece.. wow. double flavor punch. I use it when she is not to make my beef jerky... 12 hours later and hello. beer and jerky time. love this machine.

Nice size unit. Love that the front is enclosed. It replaced my Cabelas unit that was lost in the fire. Glad I made this choice. Excited that I could make jerky again!

This is a wonderful unit. The amount of product that it will dehydrate quickly is deceptively large. It has operated perfectly with everything that I tried. Additionally, I had to contact the company and their response was immediate and customer centered.

First time user of this type of machine. It’s a bit larger than I thought (won’t fit on my counter nicely enough to be a permanent fixture) - but I found a new place for it permanently so no worries. I love it. I’d buy it again

This dehydrator works great. I like that you turn it on and you can press the Rob button and it will take it down to 115 degrees instantly. The only issue with the dehydrator is that when it finishes the set amount of time it beeps very loudly for 30 seconds. It is loud. If you want to run this while you're sleeping and have it shut off at night it's probably going to wake you up even if you're in another room down the hall. There's no way to turn the beeping sound down. Other than that it's great.

I am really enjoying this dehydrator with its ten trays that make it so easy to get a lot of food on them. I love the automatic shut off when time is up. It is so convenient. This makes it a super value for the price.

I like everything about this dehydrator. It is quiet and efficient. It is compact in size yet has 7 stainless steel wire racks that make for plenty of room. It's easy to keep clean. It distributes heat and air flow evenly throughout the unit so all your items are ready at the same time; no having to let some things go for an extended period of time. I've used this to dehydrate apples, bananas, and sweet potatoes. My dog loves the dehydrated sweet potatoes (vet recommended). So much more economical and healthier without the added preservatives etc.. Plus, the apple and banana chips are so delicious... lots tastier than store bought. I am very pleased with my purchase. *P.S... buy a quality mandoline to do your slicing. Makes the whole process quite easy.

My use I don't need a large dehydrator. This one is very convenient to use, fairly small and seems to be well made. I dd need more mesh sheets, ordered a pack of 5 and trimmed to fit. Can do about 8 large apples sliced thin. So far have done apples, pears, strawberries, bananas, and jerky. Apples are my favorite then pears and jerky. Quiet operating and heat seems to be evenly distributed. Using on counter in garage at least in summer.

I have had other dehydrators. None compare to this Magic Mill dehydrator. I dehydrated 9 trays of pineapple and starfruit. All trays dried the same. No uneven drying. I recommend the 10 tray if you have fruit and or vegetables gardens. My starfruit tree has at least 200 more starfruit. I already ate and gave away at least 20. I plan to dehydrate and vacuum seal excess that should last until the next season. Freezing the vacuum sealed fruit should last 4 ever!
