I am so pleased with the matca powder I bought, it suppresses my appetite, keeps me alert and made from natural ingredients !!! It is not particularly bitter and I even got a milk frother for mixing the matca smoothly.Very pleased from the product.
I have been drinking Green tea and matcha tea for years because of the health benefits. I have used several different brands at several different quality levels and I really like the Jade Leaf brand. What I ordered is not their highest quality tea but the price was good so I gave it a shot. I did not use what I purchased for anything but a green tea drink and I am very satisfied with the quality and flavor. I know from having purchased ceremonial quality matcha tea in the past this would not have the flavor and smell of the higher quality tea but I didn't pay to two or three time as much either. To be honest, I drink a lot of green tea and I need to keep the cost down, I am very happy with this tea and will continue to order from them as this company and the tea's they offer are very good. I also did some research about the company and liked what I learned about the company and their products.
My mind feels much calmer with this matcha, enough that I can go several days without the need for xanax. The relief is instant, and I also have been good about avoiding coffee. I've tried another brand of matcha before that was also good, but this one includes a good set of recipes from lattes to frozen foods. For that alone, an order is worth the try. I usually take the full daily dose at four pm. Today I did not, and I still feel good, generally. I seem to prefer just mixing it in water cold, but I know this is by far the least preferred way for anyone. Still, I use what I got at 4 pm. If its just a glass of water, well... The flavor isn't the same as the last one. I like it, even though plain out of the bag it is a little bitter. The best part is how I am so mentally put at ease with it, and this wasn't the same as the last one I tried. I will be purchasing from jade again. I think that with all the meds I'm on its good to detox if just once in a while. I tend not to use matcha within an hour of taking meds, and I find that it hasn't been interfering. Coffee on the other hand...
Absolutely LOVE this! I have been a coffee drinker for a long long time. Stopped feeling the caffeine kick in from coffee but loved the taste. I would even drink it at night and still sleep. It just wasn’t doing anything for me. Decided to try Matcha after reading about the health benefits. Gave coffe up and this is a great replacement! I have so much energy after just one serving. And it’s energy that is not jittery or makes your heart pound. Energy with no bottom out in the day. It is clear, focused energy that just keeps going. Plus the health benefits of Matcha are a huge plus. I wouldn’t recommend having it with a latte or sugary goods. While that might make it more Palatable any fine sugar will spike your blood sugar and you might not feel the matcha working because of that. And no chemical sugar either like Splenda....defeats the health purpose. I used hot water, a touch of honey and drank it down. Once a day is perfect. Will definitely be ordering again ❤️❤️❤️
Ignore the bad reviews! This is a great product if you understand what you're getting.First, it's culinary grade matcha powder. That means that it's not the *finest* of matchas, but it's got a good flavor profile and does a phenomenal job when mixed into baked goods, lattes, etc. I've had this just mixed with water and it's fine, but definitely not near the ceremonial grade stuff.Second, you get a huge amount for the price! Honestly, if you blow through this stuff, you're using way too much matcha in your recipes. I've paid the same for just a few ounces of similar quality at Whore Foods.Third, this is not a sugary matcha latte mix— it's a raw ingredient. Matcha powder. It is just finely ground young green tea leaves. You mix this with other things (milk, sugar, etc.). Two of my favorite beverages:Matcha Latte- 3/4 C almond milk- 1/2 tbsp matcha- 2 tsp honey- Boiling waterBoil water. Heat almond milk in a saucepan until it starts to simmer. Mix matcha with about 1/8 cup boiling water with a whisk until it's all mixed together and not clumpy. Stir in honey. Pour in hot almond milk. Enjoy.Matcha Hot Chocolate- same as above but add a few pieces of 70% dark chocolate to the almond milk until it's mixed in. Pour over prepared matcha.
This matcha tastes great. I stir it into my brewed green or herbal tea for an extra health boost, and I have also stirred it into oatmeal and unsweetened applesauce. I'm sure I'll find other ways to use it! I feel energized for hours after having it and am recommending it to my kids and parents for the health benefits. Jade Leaf has great customer service, they will be in touch to see if you had any issues or questions. They also steer you to their website and recipe ideas. This is organic and Japanese, two things you should look for when buying matcha.FYI: My teen son started drinking more green tea and adding matcha to his breakfast, and soon he was able to stop taking a prescription antibiotic for acne breakouts. Matcha is a proven natural acne treatment, by ingestion and using it in a mask.
I have finished a baking test on Jade Leaf Matcha products and also compare their Classic and the Premium grade matcha. This test is based on making Matcha Red Beam Mousse (no bake), Matcha Fresh Cream Swiss Roll (cake making), and Matcha Snow Cap Char Siu Bao (Roast Pork Bum - Bread making). As you can see, this seller's products comes out very green in the bread and pleasantly green in both the cake and the mousse. Comparing the Classic and the Premium grade, when first mixed with hot water, there is a distinct color difference as the Premium display a darker green (photo). However, after mixing with the batter or whip cream, the color different is minimal even you still can tell the slight different shade of greens.I did not notice any difference in both aroma and taste between the Premium and the Classic matcha after cooking.I did notice both grades of matcha do have unsolvable dark green tea particles after mixing with hot water and this is definitely for culinary usage and not for making matcha tea.In my opinion, both Jade Leaf's Classic and Premium grade matcha do produce good green color in baking and in making mousse. However, as for home use I think the Classic would be sufficient and the commercial use may justify the higher price, especially for smoothie and other liquid products.Note: All photos are shot with Samsung S7 without any post color alternation.
I'm not a matcha connoisseur, but as an amatuer tea drinker I liked this matcha a lot. Other matcha that I have tried is Trader Joe's single serve matcha packets and Teavana's matcha. I decided to try this Jade Leaf Organics matcha because it was a less expensive option. The bag is small but you only need a half or full teaspoon for a cup, depending on your preference, so it's actually a good amount of tea for the price. The bag was easy to open and is resealable. The color and quality of the matcha was good. I made a cup with a half tsp and whisked it in. The color was a deep green and the flavor was great. I always drink my tea plain so I found the taste very agreeable. If you are used to sweet tea, you may not like this tea or may need to add a sweetener.
I am re-ordering because I feel so much better I'm getting more things done, I'm 78 years old today and I can tell you this tea has improved my life and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel better and have more energy.I do not drink it for the taste although it's not bad at all, and I do not take the time to heat up water and have hot tea I just put a half a teaspoon into my bottle of water and shake it up I do it at least twice a day. I realize this is the culinary Blend and not the ceremonial But I have tried both and it doesn't taste much different, the good news is that the price is way less than the culinary blend and you get the same benefits!!! Such as six times the antioxidants as regular green tea.
I kept hearing about Matcha tea from other coffee addicts. I heard about how much more mellow it was, how gentle it was on the tummy, how awake they felt in the mornings. I thought they were idiots. Seriously...nothing would come between me and a giant mug of coffee in the morning. Giving in one day, I ordered a Green Tea Latte at Starbucks instead of a Mocha (peer pressure!) and fell in love. It was sooo good. Then I was told that was nothing compared to one made at home. Color me intrigued!I've tried two other brands and I didn't like either of them. One was too harsh tasting and the ceremonial one didn't have the right punch. So, Jade Leaf was the third and it is absolutely perfect! Now, I substitute one of these for my afternoon pick-me-up and I'm slowly transitioning away from so much coffee in the mornings. I definitely feel better for it too. The same feeling of waking up, but without that jangling feeling that coffee can bring. To make a latte - Just heat up about 1/2 of your mug size worth of milk (I use either non-fat or 2%) in the microwave. Not too hot, not boiling. Then spoon in a half to one teaspoon depending on mug or cup size, a dollop of honey (or sugar or whatever) and use a frother (I got one here on Zon that is battery operated). I do maybe 10 seconds of frothing. Because the milk is hot, it won't get puffy. To make that lovely puff, I put a little bit of cold milk in a glass and froth until it's pure fluff, then spoon over my latte. Delish! It takes about a minute to prepare a big cup.
Make your own green tea latte, just like starbucks, but without the added sugar.A teaspoon of MatchaTruvia to tasteHalf a cup of hot watertwo tablespoons of organic half and halfa teaspoon of Jordan's Skinny Vanilla SyrupA dash of nutmeg(MCT Oil for an extra boost)Heat and Blend
