I love these mugs! One slight suggestion: all the edges of the cup I bought (I got two

Cons;-It's a little thin to one side, not dangerously so, but not uniform.-A couple of sharp edges-The wood was thirsty. I don't mean for tea either. It needed some oil right out of the box. (Not necessarily a bad thing)-It's a little smaller than you'd think.Pros;-The wood was thirsty. This gave me freedom to oil/foodsafe finish how I wanted.-It's sturdy. I decided to be a potato after unboxing and scorch it darker with a torch. (This despite specific warnings to avoid extreme heat.) It held up, though I recommend against doing what I did.-Just plain does what it's supposed to: Doesn't leak, doesn't break when dropped, holds up to hot water, etc.All-in-all, a good product, just a couple of literal rough edges. Would recommend to a friend.

Sometimes it’s cool to have something similar to the old ways. I like this cup. It’s not a full cup but close. It doesn’t hold heat like porcelain. It can staying if not cleaned but this isn’t rocket science, it’s a wood cup.In a word; it’s campy. The handle has sharp edges around the holes where your fingers go so take some hundred grit sandpaper and soften the edge. (It’s wood)Giving it one wipe with olive oil is not going to cure the cup. You have to use many applications in the beginning. Think of it is a starter kit cup. Sand it and customize it the way you like then season it multiple times. At least 7 time minimum. Believe me you won’t be sorry.Bottom line: I really enjoy drinking coffee in this little cup and yes I think it’s worth it.

I had been wanting a kuksa for my gear loadout for some time, but wasn’t really sure about which one to get or from where. There are a lot of options, not all are great, but this one is a solid balance between quality and cost. Some of the high-end artisan ones are just a bit more than I want to spend right now, but I wanted a certain aesthetic and quality for cheap and this was a win/win. It has a really nice look and feel that is very appealing. I posted a couple pics of it on Instagram and friends were asking where they could get one, too. These would make PERFECT gifts for the outdoorsy person on your list.

Uberleben Dursten Wood Camp Cup. It arrived well packed and in perfect condition. I do not know if the claims of hand made are entirely true but it looks more hand made than all the competition. Not really practical for home use due to its small size and minimal insulating quality. On the other hand it is perfect for its intended purpose of being used as a camp cup. Only improvement I would make would be to increase the size.

Awesome cup. Now I can drink the tears of my enemies in the same fashion my ancestors did.
