This is a great value, especially if you are looking for ways to minimize your contribution to the local landfill. I use these like I use parchment paper; baking and microwaving. I use them the most for microwaving my breakfast and lunch. I can cook a small potato and some cut up carrots in the microwave in this bag, and re-use it again and again. My husband can pack a sandwich in it, and again, it can be reused if the sandwich didn't make a mess. When they are too worn for further food use, I was them up, the a bit of string around it, and the cats will bat it around until it goes into the recycling.

I use these when I have something too messy for a resusable bag, but when I don't want to use a ziploc bag either. I make my daughter a sunbutter and jelly sandwich every day, and this is the bag I wrap it up in. It's the one thing she throws away (composts) from her lunch, but I don't feel as bad about it because I know it will eventually degrade. The paper bags are sturdy enough to hold the sandwich together, and no sunbutter or jelly leaks through. These have helped me cut down on plastic bags tremendously.

Have used these for years. My teenager is environmentally conscious and prefers to use these over plastic bags. Hold chips, popcorn, sandwiches, cut veggies, etc with ease and any new friends always ask about it. Especially if she is eating a sandwich out of it, they want to know what restaurant she got her sandwich from. ????

I bake a lot, and give a lot of it away to friends and neighbors. I hate wasting aluminum foil or plastic wrap, and my reuseable containers rarely get returned to me. These are a great, eco-friendly alternative that usually get composted because my friends are pretty conscious about that.

These are great! They keep things fresh for quite a while. I use them frequently for sandwiches, chips, cookies, or whatever for lunch. I've even used them to stored tomatoes and avocados in the fridge for a couple days and they were fine. And -- call me strange -- there's something about the crackly sound and the feel of the paper that I enjoy a lot more than a plastic bag.

Love these bags! With two boys who need completely disposable/recyckeable lunches every day at school, I love finding ways to avoid plastic bags! These are great for any dry food. If I pack sandwiches in them the night before, the sandwiches taste fresh (the bread isn't stale or hard) when they eat lunch the next day. Same goes for pretzels or chips.

so, as other reviewers have mentioned, these do not provide a moisture proof barrier for your foods. that means inherently that there are a few limitations, though im not sure why you'd choose these over say a seal-able container for those occasions...they aren't good for toting wet foods, aren't a good choice for freezing foods, etc. HOWEVER, they are great for helping to mitigate plastic baggie usage in your home. we use them to put snacks and sandwiches in lunches primarily, and as another user pointed out, they are phenomenal if you want to make a hot lunch sandwich/quesadilla/wrap in the morning as they do breathe; even though the food wont be hot any more, it also wont be soggy.
