This is not going to be the fire pit you pass down to your kids. A strong wind will blow it away if it doesn't have "logs" in it or garden stakes securing the legs to the grass. And by "logs" I mean thick twigs or short pieces of wood. It's only 22" and not that deep. But if you're looking for something quick, easy, cozy and good for a small area where it will be attended and then covered with a tarp or cover when done, then this fits the bill. You can burn junk mail and some small pieces of wood, roast marshmallows, set the mood. Rowdy dogs, rambunctious children and clumsy adults should probably avoid the vicinity surrounding it to avoid setting fire to the patio. A swift kick will lead to disaster.
It went together in about a half hour. It has an attractive look to it. Definitely only a fire for two, though. Make sure you clean it out after every fire to prevent rusting. It's lightweight which is nice because I'm not that strong to be hauling some super heavy fire ring from the truck to the camp site. For the price, I would say it's not really top notch, but it's good enough for me.
Price was very good. A little tricky to assembly as some parts seem to need 3 hands to hold together. The Metal was rather thin and lightweight. I don't think it will last too long, but I kinda expected this as the price was very reasonable.
Its lightweight and easy to move around, i absolutely love it! I can move it anywhere in my yard or pack along on a camping trip or beach outing.
We used it as our “basket” for a s’more themed basket raffle. Everyone loved it!
