These bars are so delicious and are an excellent option for a meal replacement. Especially when you’re on the go they are very easy to take with you and eat!
One of my favorite bars out there. It is loaded with fiber and protein. This kept me going at work, where I had to watch a child 24/7 at school. I didn't have to think twice about nutrition. I highly suggest this bar. It's sweet from agave, but it packs a high rich protein punch. It's just hard to find.
Only brown rice protein bar ive found and with clean ingredients no chemicals. All other proteins ( soy whey pea hemp etc) upset my stomach or cause undesirable side effects. Don’t expect it to taste like a candy bar but is not gross in taste or texture. Great for travel
The bars are a staple of my diet when I'm on any exercise/weight loss plan. They're one of the must-haves that I don't even question anymore (along with plain Greek yogurt, skinless free-range chicken, etc.).As far as taste, of course it's subjective. Some people find them too sweet, others not sweet enough. Personally, this is my take: they strike a very good balance between the two and, overall, they're fairly tasty. I do find, though - and I've been buying these for years - that they can be a bit on the dry side. So, I almost always make sure I have water on hand when I'm eating one. This, I've found, serves two purposes: one, it helps the bars go down a bit easier. Two, drinking water with the bar maked me feel more full, longer, which reduces my overall hunger and, in turn, my food/caloric intake. That's not to say these are bone-dry, not by a long shot. But, once you've had a few bites, you may find your mouth a bit dry. Again, that's just my own experience, and water fixes that issue perfectly.I also love that these are organic, and not filled with the chemicals you'll find in the hundreds of other protein bars on the market. They're also packed with natural nutrients, again unlike most bars. This might be arguing semantics, but I consider these bars to be "real food" - unlike other bars. So, I don't feel as though I've somehow eaten something unhealthy and chemical- or preservative-laden. For all these reasons, Organic Food Bars not only make for excellent meal replacements, but also for in-between meal snacks, if you're spreading out your meals throughout the day, and depending on your own reasons for buying them. So, I definitely recommend these bars, and in fact just ordered four 12-pack boxes to restock my supply.
My husband & I have purchased these several times & always maintain a supply of a box or two in our pantry. After sampling several different brands from other manufacturers, this is by far the best protein bar we've come across. What we especially appreciate: They're non-dairy, non-soy, gluten-free, non-GMO, 100% raw & organic, & contain no refined sugar. The 22 grams of protein in each bar make these an appropriate meal replacement or mid-afternoon snack. I usually carry one in my purse so I have it handy to combat any blood sugar swings/hypoglycemic issues when I'm out & about. It helps to ward off any temptation to grab junk food when I'm out shopping, too! These bars also taste great, which we can't say about a lot of other protein bars. Our only "complaint" would be that the texture is a bit grainy, but it's not a big deal.
